The special shapes balloons add a large portion of variety and humor into the event. Most are created for advertising purposes. The special shapes balloons I have seen at the Festival are: Mickey Mouse, Tony the Tiger, Arky, Dino the Sinclair Dinosaur, the Energizer Bunny, United Van Lines, Dean Foods Dairy Cow, Korbel Champagne Bottle, and the U.S. Marines Bulldog. The Mickey Mouse balloon was retired in 1997, so it was not at the Festival in 1998.
