Composition 101 is a 6-hour (3 session) class about how to design a photograph, arranging the various picture elements in a pleasing way to help illustrate an emotion, thought, concept, or story. At the end of this class you will have a fundamental understanding of design concepts and their use in photography, including the so-called "rules". The second session is a 2-hr field trip and the last session is to review the field trip images and learn how to properly give and receive feedback.
At the end of this class you will know and understand the fundamentals of composition, how to assess the scene in front of you, and arrange the important elements in the scene to create a visually interesting photograph.
